VME 2AA Classic HCRI

We yearned for the simple times, when a spade was just a spade. A flashlight just a basic light. Thus was born the VME 2AA Classic.

It's just a simple click on, and click off. There's no modes, no user interface, no disco strobe, no PWM, no fuss. In stripping things down to bare essentials, we bring the same great beam from our original VME, built Malkoff tough in the 2x AA format, ideal for anybody who wants to keep their batteries simple, safe, and easily obtainable.

At 100 lumens, the VME 2AA Classic is great as a shop light, in your toolbag, the trunk of your car, or more uniquely, on nuclear submarines which do not tolerate the use of lithium-ion flashlights. The VME 2AA takes advantage of the unique chemistry of rechargeable NiMH batteries, which are safe for long storage in hot or cold temperatures with no chance of thermal runaway. With a long 5.5 hour runtime, the VME 2AA has plenty of power to get the job done.

Like all of our Malkoff products, the engine is fully potted, making the VME 2AA Classic the most durable and reliable it can be, allowing battery changes in pouring rain or even underwater. While we recommend changing the AA batteries on dry land, you will never end up in the wrong scary movie knowing that you can have plenty of light on everyday disposable AA batteries, you'll always have light..

All parts are easily user-serviceable and replaceable. Light window, gasket, o-rings, clicky boot, and pocket clip all readily replaced or upgraded at user’s discretion. System compatible with all M Light Engines and E series.
