VME Titanium Host (head and body only, no engine)
Please note: this is not a complete flashlight! You must provide your own Light Engine! We offer the VME Titanium Host for those who already have a Light Engine. When our stock of heads run out, this item will be discontinued.
Looking for the Titanium VME Flashlight? Complete Titanium VME Flashlight with M361 Light Engine is available here.
Our customers like you demand the absolute best. While our MDC is built and designed to be the best tool lights on the market today, some people ache for the heirloom quality of Titanium, the long sought-after element for its impervious resistance to daily corrosion and beautiful raw metal finish.
Machining titanium requires extra durable cutting tools and additional care to maintain precision tolerances and finish quality, but we think it’s worth it. Which is why we’ve made the VME available in Titanium, paired with the unmistakable elegance and rugged character of the legendary McGizmo 14500 body.
Unlike virtually every other flashlight on the market, the Titanium VME uniquely offers tool-less engine replacement, allowing you to swap out your Light Engine as your mission requires, or as technology improves in the years to follow. Your children, grand children, great grandchildren, and so on, will be able to pocket the VME Ti, carrying your legacy with them, without being locked into the capabilities it ships with today.
Featuring the uniquely ribbed titanium McGizmo 14500 body, you'll enjoy unparalleled grip under the most demanding conditions, from torrential downpours to sandy, salty beach days. Complete with the original McGizmo titanium pocket clip for secure pocket retention, the Titanium VME will be your reliable pocket companion for decades to come.
The raw machined finish of the Titanium VME will age gracefully with use, taking on a smooth, well-loved patina that will reflect its journey with you, without deforming from abuse the same way soft aluminum does. Every scuff, snail trail, scrape will add to its character, reflecting the serene beauty of the impermanence of life, making each flashlight perfectly celebrating the personality and path of its owner. Or, in a key benefit over anodized aluminum, should you ever wish to restore your Titanium VME to pristine perfection, the sturdy titanium body can be simply refinished to any style you prefer at the hands of an artisan refinisher such as our partner's titanium refinishing service.
The ultimate tool light, designed to be entirely user-serviceable. Compatible with all Malkoff Light Engines (M61, M361, M31 and earlier legacy M30/M60 models). May be compatible with non-Malkoff Light Engines sized similarly with or without conductive copper fitment tape. Compatible with all McGizmo-style 2-bolt clips. Parts interchangeable with all MDC bodies (excluding DF size), E-series, Aleph system.
All parts are easily user-serviceable and replaceable. Light window, gasket, o-rings, clicky boot, and pocket clip all readily replaced or upgraded at user’s discretion.
Not compatible with Kosen Glow Rings.
Please note that owing to the raw machined titanium finish, while each and every light has been machined to a dependable and exceptional level of performance, hand-assembled and inspected to satisfaction, tooling marks may be evident and surfaces are not guaranteed to be free of blemishes or unique markings. In McGizmo's own language, each light may be delivered with its own unique character mark. While we take great care during the manufacturing and assembly process, our Titanium VME Flashlight demands a high price for the uncompromising build quality and high manufacturing standard, and not for any guarantee to housing cosmetics or collectability. These lights are intended for use and abuse over the course of a lifetime, or several, and not for safe-keeping and store of value.
VME Titanium Head, lens kit with gasket and o-ring provided. McGizmo titanium 14500 body provided with preinstalled titanium McGizmo clip, McClicky switch, switch boot, and o-rings.
